DHL
Introduction
DHL can be delivered to most countries and regions in the world. Most non-restricted products can be shipped, except for those prohibited by customs regulations of countries and those prohibited by aviation. Different countries and regions have different requirements for import customs clearance. Please confirm in advance whether the package you send meets the requirements of the destination customs.
Time
● DHL transport reference time: 2-10 days. Can be delivered to most countries and regions worldwide.
*Note: The transport reference time is the estimated average time. Since logistics transportation is affected by the destination country and region, weather, customs policy, express delivery busy period, customs clearance, etc., for reference only!
● Handling fee: 200 JPY
*If the shipping date falls on a Japanese public holiday, DHL will not be able to arrange pickup. Your shipment will be postponed to the next working day.
Requirements
DHL service is generally used for personal customs clearance, and the package must be sent within the reasonable range of personal use. If it exceeds the reasonable range of personal use and causes customs clearance failure, the user must bear the losses.
※Note: 1. If you want to choose DHL's B2B line (commercial customs clearance line), please contact customer service; 2. If you want to send beverages with an alcohol concentration of more than 24 degrees, please consult the customs of your country in advance about the relevant restrictions.
***Please note:
*Members are required to truthfully declare the amount, quantity and name of the goods. Members are responsible for any costs incurred as a result of false declarations.
*【Updated on September 11, 2025】 To ensure smooth customs clearance and delivery of your parcel, please comply with the following requirements and provide accurate and truthful declaration information:
1. Avoid using vague or unclear descriptions. Please do not use ambiguous or overly broad terms such as "Cloth", "Other", or "Ticket" for declaration. Such descriptions may lead to customs rejection, delays, inspection, or failed delivery. If any issues related to customs clearance, delays, or loss of parcels arise due to unclear, ambiguous, or incorrect declaration, the responsibility and associated consequences shall be borne by the sender/recipient.
2. Correctly specify product category and name. For cotton fabric items, please select: Primary category: Textiles / Fabric / Material; Secondary category: Cotton fabric.
3. If the product does not have a corresponding declaration option in the system, please contact Customer Service in advance to confirm whether the item is acceptable for shipment. If confirmed, please select "Other" under the corresponding primary category and provide detailed product information in the declaration field, including material, purpose, and type.
4. According to customs regulations, when shipping parcels via channels such as DHL, the recipient's full and real name must be provided, and the category, name, quantity, and declared value of the goods must be declared truthfully. If false declarations result in customs detention, fines, return shipment, or other losses, all related costs and legal responsibilities shall be borne by the recipient; Rakufun will not be held responsible.
*Volumetric weight (KG)= Length(cm)x Width(cm)x Height(cm)÷ 5000. If the volumetric weight is greater than the actual weight, DHL chargeable weight of your shipment will always be calculated on whichever is greater. E.g: If the volumetric weight of the package size is 10kg and the actual weight is 5kg, the weight of the volumetric weight of 10kg will be charged).
DHL shipping fee contains fuel charge and emergency surcharge.
*Notes: The shipping rates table does not include handling fees.
For volumetric weight calculation, the package's length, width, and height are measured in centimeters (cm), with each dimension rounded up to the nearest whole number (e.g., 19.3 cm is counted as 20 cm, and 19.03 cm is also counted as 20 cm). Measurements are based on the package's maximum outer dimensions. In practice, the longest side in each direction is taken, including any increases caused by outer packaging, wrapping, bulging, or slight tilting.
During transportation, packages may undergo minor deformation due to uncontrollable factors such as stacking pressure or drops. Any dimensional variance within approximately 1 cm on a single side resulting from such conditions is considered a normal shipping tolerance and is not eligible for claims.
This method follows common international shipping practices to ensure consistency and reasonableness in measurements.

If the package you send contains a logo such as "Aviation Attention", you need to submit the MSDS safety data sheet file to DHL in advance.
Insurance & Claim
Insurance: DHL only provides insurance service for the value of goods (international freight is not insured). If 1.2% of the declared commodity amount is less than 2,500 yen, it will be charged at 2,500 yen; if 1.2% of the declared amount is greater than 2,500 yen, it will be charged at 1.2% of the declared amount.
Insurance claims: If your package is lost or damaged during international transportation, the actual compensation amount will be mainly determined based on the local DHL company's investigation results.
1. Packages without insurance: International freight will not be compensated. The compensation amount is calculated at 22SDR per kilo (1sdr=153.76 yen). The maximum claim amount does not exceed the declared amount. If you cannot accept the regulations, it is recommended that you purchase paid insurance service by DHL. Thank you for understanding.
2. Packages with insurance purchased: Package loss — you should provide the materials for claims and the materials should be correct, the compensation amount is: the value of the items declared + international shipping costs, and the maximum compensation amount is the upper limit of the amount after purchasing insurance. Package damage only — you should provide the materials for claims and the materials should be correct; if the items in the package are damaged, the compensation amount is: the declared price of the damaged goods.
※Note: If you want to apply for DHL insurance service, please contact customer service. (The insured amount is 2,500 yen or 1.2% of the total declared amount, whichever is higher)

Disclaimer
We recommend that you send the packages according to the customs requirements of your local customs. If the customs inspection finds that the items, quantity, value, etc. in your package do not meet the import customs clearance requirements, you may be required to provide relevant customs clearance materials, pay tariffs, return shipments, etc. We cannot deal customs clearance matters for the package to arrive at the destination country.
